Henry Rollins is Mad. (but what else is new?)
So many of you know i'm a BIG Batman fan, but only some of you know how deep my love of Henry Rollins goes. the man is a frigging genius with a touch of psycho, and his rants are epic. anyway, i was watching my Batman Beyond Season 2 DVD and i came across the episode "Rats!" in it Terry (Batman) blows off a date with his g/f Dana to go fight this mad bomber named Mad Stan (while doing so she gets kidnapped by this RatBoy and blahblahblah lead in to real plot). Now i'm good at recognizing voices, hell in the first 2 minutes of re-watching the series i went, "Huh, i never knew the dude who did the voice for Terry was the same guy who later did the voice for Ron Stoppable on Kim Possible!" But, i digress, so i'm watching batman fight this dude and after a couple lines are exchanged i go "Hmmm, that voice is familiar..." a few more lines one of which includes something about society degrading and i go, "OMG! IT COULDN'T BE!!" a couple more lines and then Mad Stan goes off on a rant about emails and text messages, and i shit a brick and stood up and yelled! "HOLY SHIT IT'S HENRY ROLLINS!!" seriously, it's amazing how perfectly cast he is. it's like the role was created just for him!! it's as though Bruce Timm said, "let's see we're going to have an this big crazy dude who wants to blow everything up rant about what's wrong with society. no draw him more like Henry Rollins... yeah add a neck tattoo, no not the Black Flag logo, we don't want to be TOO obvious!"

EDIT: OK, so Terry was just studying his presidents trying to recite them in order and he got stuck on Clinton. his study partner Max goes, "C'mon Clinton was the fun one then came the boring one..." SEE BUSH!? not only did you drive our nation into a horrible recession, but you fucked us out of an AWESOME future! a future filled with flying cars, laser pistols, and bionic suits that enhance your strength and agility!! in their world Gore (the boring one) won the election (then again, he did in our world too, he just never became president). now we'll never drive flying cars within my lifetime, and it's all your fault!

I hope he comes to My town . . . but more than likely he will go to Toronto (2-3 hours away), Kingston (1-1:30 hours away), or Ottawa (like 5 hours away) . . . I'd still try to go see him. I watch him on youtube, and I am mesmerized, his words are so gripping. He is just so interesting, smart, funny, insightful, and if I do say so my self, hot. Not because of his physical appearance, but because of that big ole intelligence of his and his way with words. Reow indeed!

I was AMAZED that he came to Fargo! the thing is the auditorium was nearly sold out, so hopefully such a good crowd will persuade him to come back again!

oh most definitely, the man's a fucking genius. as against organized religion as i am, i'm pretty sure if he started his own, i'd join. he's just so wise, i'm pretty sure he'd deliver some damn good guidance unto us! :P

YES! I am not really that religious, but I was raised somewhat religious, but it was never pushed on me, more offered like an extra slice of pie, there if I wanted it. I'd join his religion more than likely.

If I didn't get to see his face until after I heard his words, I'd still be seduced. I ama girl who is seduced by great word craft, elequant speach, a wide spread intelligience, a good voice (just listen to his voice, wow!) and yes, a sense of humour. (I know girly mags say taht ladies are attracted toa sens of humour, but youthink it is all BS, not on my part, I like a funny guy who likes talking and has a good head on his shoulders) Prehaps my love of his voice (and for most sounds in generial, music, talk radio *CBC radio 1 mostly*, other's voices) steams form my own hearing loss which is slowly ebbing towards shit-tastically-shit-tacular.

I wasn't raised religious either. i wasn't even baptized! which is awesome because when i die i totally get to relax and float around in purgatory for eternity!! seriously, one time my mom got a wild hair up her ass, and took me to bible school, and within about a half hour i got kicked out for fighting!! :P

i just love his energy and the way he talks about politics and religion and society in general. his views echo everything i have always thought about the world! only he's way funnier than me! i couldn't imagine my hearing going. i've always had super-sensitive hearing. i used to come home from school and just walking in the entryway of the house i could tell my dad had fallen asleep with the tv on mute again. the other night lying in bed, i heard the high-pitched whine from my xbox's battery charger which is in the living room. i can wiggle my ears and re-position them to better hear in a particular direction. it's rarely a benefit though, as my over-sensitive hearing makes it though to hear anything if there is another noise in front of it. my chip bag rustling over the movie i'm watching? i barely hear the tv. an announcement over the intercom at work? i can barely hear what the customer two feet from me is saying. i think it may also have something with my ADD. in high school i had special permission to listen to my headphones in the commons because if i could drown out the background noise i could do an entire math assignment in 10 min flat. but when i took them off i was lucky to get half-done in the entire hour, because i was distracted by all the conversations around me.

Last time I remember getting checked, my right ear at 25% hearing loss and left ear 30% loss. On the 5th of next month I have another hearing test, than a few weeks after that, another check up. I'll refuse ear tubes though . . . those things are so annoying. Lucky you and your fancy hearing :P Sometimes I can hear pretty well, but not very often, so I have taken to lip reading. I hate doing that though, it's kinda pesky.

I took communion when I was in my early teenage hood, but only because I wanted to try the bread. Didn't drink the gape juice, I don't' really like grapes. So I ate 2 bread cubes . . . And in Purgatory at least there are interesting people like philosophers, and other neat-a-rific people like that.

yeah i think Purgatory will be awesome! just float around relaxing, every once in a while waxing philosophical with a bunch of philosophers and other unbaptized folk. it's probably super-chill because there aren't the stuck up holier than thou people like in Heaven or the Satanic nutjobs like in Hell. it's just a big gathering of agnostics!

like i said, i like having super-hearing but a lot of times it's annoying because i can't concentrate on what i WANT to listen to. :P

I know I have already personally LJ'd it a few times.
I find it's a glorious song to listen too while in traffic.

haha never threw it on a CD and jammed out to it before, but it's mos'def on my YouTube favs!

my favorite to jam out to in traffic was Bad Religion, but i found i drove too recklessly. i mean, it IS the same music i used to listen to to get pumped up for my wrestling matches!

but the WORST was when i burnt a CD of my favorites from the Burnout 3 soundtrack! ZOMG! i mean, i played that game so much, that music was ingrained in my subconscious as being associated with fast, reckless driving! it was not the brightest idea i ever had. i'm pretty familiar with the power of the subconscious, so i really should have seen it coming! :P

Shatner's entire Has Been cd is pretty amazing.

I have to be seriously careful what I drive too in the Jetta...for it is a turbo...
I can't listen to Streetlight Manifesto without the whole "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY" thing occuring. That & Me First & The Gimmie Gimmies's cover of the phantom of the opera. that shit is amazing.

just about everything Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies do is amazing. except for the fact that they still havn't learned to properly end a song! seriously listen to it, it's going to bug the hell out of you now! :P

driving like a madman in my old car was just fine, because it was a fucking tank. i could hit just about anything and barely feel it in the Crown Vic! god damnit i miss that car! the 5.0L V8 (mustang engine in a luxury sedan) plus the rear wheel drive, certainly made winter driving an exciting experience! :P

Oh, I know they suck at ending songs-but I cope.

We don't really get a lot of winter weather. It saddens me greatly.

my friend first mentioned that to me and it's driven me nuts every time i listen to them ever since!

if you lived in ND you wouldn't be lamenting the lack of winter weather. it's winter about 8 months out of the year here! >_

I can't stand heat. It's been in the 90's here the past few days and it's killing me slowly. I overheat super easily. I lived in New England when I was younger.

i like it around the 50's - 60's. i've lived here for so long i'm used to the cold. when it gets hot i get sweaty easily, but then again it's never a dry heat up here in ND. around here it seems like it's -40 with a blizzard or 90 degrees with 80% humidity. there is little in between ever. :P

When we first moved to VA, i was wearing shorts when it was 50* outside & all the other kids did not understand me. It was kinda awesome. 70* was totally swimming weather in Maine-totally.

i loved Maine-I still do. When I turned 18-we went home & I got to swim in the simply frigid lake-I loved it. Sure it was August-but lakes never warm in Maine. never. Nipples that can cut glass are fashionable there.
